N'Guessan close to Foxes

Leicester City are set to sign Lincoln winger Dany N'Guessan subject to agreeing a compensation fee with his current club.

The 22-year-old has agreed terms over a move to the Walkers Stadium, but a deal with the League Two side has yet to be agreed.

Although the Frenchman is out of contract at Sincil Bank, a compensation fee for the player must be agreed between the two clubs as he is under the age of 24.

Leicester chairman Lee Hoos will attempt to agree a settlement with the Imps, when he meets their chairman Steff Wright during a Football League meeting in Portugal this week.

If the two clubs cannot agree a figure, an independent tribunal will have to nominate a fee for N'Guessan.

Lincoln vice-chairman Bob Dorrian told the Leicester Mercury: "I think a lot of things can get done in Portugal.

"The Leicester chief executive is there and it may get done over a couple of pints, you never know."
