Leicester City manager Gary Megson has confirmed that he is looking to bring in at least one loan player to bolster his Foxes squad.
City are currently in the wrong half of the Championship table, having won only two of their opening nine league games this season,
Megson told the club's official website: "I am still keeping an eye on the loan market and transfer market.
"It is an on-going process. We are looking at very good players, very expensive players, but that is what you have to do to move the club forward.
"I'd like to think that we are close to bringing someone in. That will obviously initially be on loan, with the transfer window currently being closed."
Meanwhile, Megson has been mentioned as a possible target for Bolton Wanderers, who are on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Sammy Lee.
Paul Jewell, Chris Coleman and current Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce are also thought to be on the Trotters' wish-list.
