Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has warned his players to expect a tough challenge next season as they bid to secure an immediate return to the Championship.
The Foxes will play in the third tier of English football for the first time in their history and Mandaric is braced a tough test of the club's mettle.
He told The Mercury: "We will be the Manchester United of League One next season. Every team will want to beat us.
"I hope we get off to a good start, but if we don't, we need to be patient and give the manager and the new players a chance.
"We have to be prepared for that and we need to be patient.
"I don't want to put extra pressure on us, but we need to take this club back to the Championship and then, hopefully, the Premier League. That is still the plan.
"It might take longer than three years but that is my hope. Relegation, unfortunately, was not part of the plan."
