Mandaric denies Foxes takeover talk

Mandaric took over as owner in November 2006 with the aim of taking the club back into the Premier League - but the Foxes were relegated to League One in his first full season at the helm. Under new manager Nigel Pearson, Leicester returned to the Championship at the first time of asking and have made an impressive start to life back in the second tier. Mandaric is now eager to push for promotion to the top flight and knows a significant cash boost would improve their chances. "I have met a group of people but not to buy the club or invest - I am not looking to sell the club or anything like that," Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester. "It is to help us review our marketing possibilities, our international exposure and to raise money through the assets of the club. "We need to look at how to maximise the income of the club other than Milan Mandaric putting his hands in his pocket and I will keep doing that. I will always welcome someone who can come and contribute and be a positive support. "I am not searching for any investment but I am not going to rule it out. I am committed to be here for a long time and when I give my word I keep that word."
