Leicester handed King boost

Leicester City have been handed a boost after finding out Andy King has not seriously injured his wrist after an awkward fall in Saturday's game against West Bromwich Albion.

He fell in the centre of the park and was replaced before half-time and has since had X-rays.

There is no fracture as first feared and he has been given the green light to return to action.

The 21-year-old can now link up with the Wales squad ahead of their friendly against Scotland at the weekend.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, head physio Dave Rennie said: "The consultant has cleared the wrist of any fracture but has recommended that Andy receives treatment and wears a brace during exercise for the next few weeks.

"Andy will be reporting for international duty with Wales as planned, but will not be risked unless fully fit."
