King apologises for horror show

Leicester captain Andy King has issued an apology to fans who travelled to Ipswich on Saturday and revealed his frustration at the Foxes' inconsistency.Sven-Goran Eriksson's side were beaten 3-0 at Portman Road as a blizzard and a pitch covered in snow and ice made for testing conditions for both sets of players. The match was held up by a 15-minute interruption in the second half as referee Stuart Atwell took the players off to allow groundstaff to clear snow from the playing surface, but the game was restarted and finished in a comfortable win for Ipswich.Leicester have lost their last three away matches and won their last three at home and King knows they must address their inconsistency. He told the club's official website: "We feel sorry for the fans. They travelled through the snow and had to get back as well. They have spent money near Christmas and everyone is willing to apologise for that."Our inconsistency is upsetting us a little bit, but whether we would have lost the match on grass, you can't tell."
