Injury-hit Kirkland back at Wigan

On-loan Leicester goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has returned to Wigan for further treatment for his back problem.The 29-year-old aggravated the long-standing injury during the npower Championship defeat at Millwall on Tuesday and is a doubt for Leicester`s trip to Hull on New Year`s Day.Kirkland's stop-start loan spell is due to finish after the game at the KC Stadium.Kirkland joined Leicester at the end of November in search of first-team football after finding his opportunities limited at Wigan.However, he suffered a back spasm before the Nottingham Forest game and had to wait until the trip to Ipswich on December 18 before finally making his debut.
