Veteran striker Barry Hayles has returned to Leicester City after spending the last two months on loan at Cheltenham Town. Hayles found the net three times in seven appearances during his time at Whaddon Road but Robins boss Martin Allen has been unable to agree a loan extension with the Foxes for the 36-year-old. Allen said of his decision: "I wanted to keep him and Barry wanted to stay but we couldn't do a deal with Leicester. "We've got budgets to work to and there are other areas of the team I want to try and strengthen."
