Fryatt injury adds to Foxes woe

Leicester City are ruing the injury that leading striker Matt Fryatt picked up in the goalless home draw against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old was stretchered off after a collision with Rovers captain Brian Stock and, after receiving treatment on the pitch, he was taken to hospital.

After tests, it emerged the frontman has suffered a broken jaw in two places and is now set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

Speaking to reporters, Leicester boss Nigel Pearson said: "We have no idea how long he will be out but, obviously, it is not going to be short term.

"Whether we bring in a striker will depend on whether we can. We will have to wait and see over the next few days."
