Foxes win pleases Pearson
08 Mar 2009 - 16:35:27
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson was pleased to see his side end a run of five draws out of six with a 4-0 thrashing of rock-bottom Cheltenham Town.
The Foxes are now unbeaten in 23 games and remain 12 points clear at the top of the League One table.
Pearson said after the weekend win: "I'm very pleased with the result.
"It was one of those games where we had to make sure we accomplished all the right things and turned our territorial advantage into goals.
"It was top versus bottom, potentially the worst kind of banana skin.
"However, we are still some distance away from achieving our goal of promotion.
"We may be in a strong position, but we now have to concentrate on two very tough away games at Tranmere Rovers and Millwall."
