Foxes wait on striker news

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is sweating on the fitness of strikers Martyn Waghorn and Steven Howard after they both limped out of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Sheffield United.

Howard was forced off after just 11 minutes and Waghorn replaced him before succumbing to injury himself with just seven minutes remaining.

Both players will be assessed over the coming days ahead of their home clash against Barnsley on Saturday.

Speaking to Leicester Mercury, Pearson said: "Unfortunately, we have picked up a couple of injuries, which always makes it difficult.

"They are both hamstring injuries. I think we had only one all last season and now we have picked up two in one game.

"We will assess them but I still have options up front."
