Leicester City are being linked with the former Netherlands international Edgar Davids. The Foxes have spoken to the 36-year-old, who is also being linked with a transfer to Portsmouth, about a possible move to the Walkers Stadium. Davids is a free agent after his contract with Ajax expired in June 2008 but has a wealth of experience having played for AC Milan, Internazionale, Barcelona, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur in the past. He helped Ajax win three domestic Eredivisie titles, the UEFA Cup in 1992 and the Champions League three years later. Davids won 76 caps for his country and featured in 44 games for Spurs during his time at White Hart Lane between August 2005 and December 2006.
