Foxes trial for veteran Solano

Leicester City have handed a trial to former Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham winger Nolberto Solano.

The 35-year-old Peruvian has moved onto the Foxes after failing to win a contract at League One side Colchester United.

"He's got a lot of quality," said manager Nigel Pearson.

"He'd be a good acquisition at this moment in time."

Solano's last appearance in England was in the final game of the 2007/08 season for the Hammers.
