Leicester City skipper Patrick McCarthy is confident of being fit for the start of pre-season training after suffering a dislocated shoulder in February.
The 23-year-old defender suffered the injury in a training ground collision but is confident of a full recovery after a frustrating three-month lay-off.
"It has been very frustrating but the good news is that my rehab is going well and I am building up my strength day by day," he revealed.
"I am not going to get a break as such. All my plans are geared around being able to play an active part in pre-season and be ready for the start of the new campaign.
"It is the worst time I have had to endure as a professional footballer, but at least now there is light at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait for the new season to come around."
