Foxes secure Waghorn loan

Leicester City have completed the signing of Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on loan until the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old spent several months on loan at Charlton Athletic last season, but found first-team opportunities hard to come by.

Foxes boss Nigel Pearson told the Leicester Mercury: "He has trained with us and done very well.

"He was on loan at Charlton last season and didn't figure a great deal, but they were a side with their own problems.

"He is someone who comes into the squad and who can have a positive effect. He could provide us with different options."
