Foxes poised for Vaughan swoop

The 21-year-old was also a target for Midlands rivals Derby after spending time on loan at Pride Park earlier this season. The Foxes, whose leading scorer Matty Fryatt is recovering from surgery after breaking his jaw in two places against Doncaster a month ago, have the option to extend the deal to the end of the season. Vaughan has struggled with injuries since becoming the Premier League's youngest goalscorer in April 2005. He joined Derby on loan in September but a knee injury forced him to return to Goodison Park after just two appearances for Nigel Clough's side.
