Leicester City boss Ian Holloway has bolstered his strikeforce with the signings of Steve Howard and Barry Hayles.
Howard joins from Derby County and Hayles arrives from Plymouth Argyle, with both players penning initial loan deals before completing permanent transfers.
Thirty-one-year-old Howard has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Foxes, while Hayles, 35, has penned a contract running until the end of next season.
Holloway told his club's official website: "Barry brings experience, hunger and desire to this football club.
"He is an exceptional goalscorer and has proved that at this level and higher. He has got a one in three goalscoring record at every level he has played at.
"Steve and Barry scored a total of 33 goals between them last season, while off the field they are two of the best characters in the game. It's fantastic to have them here."
