Foxes clinch Chambers deal

Leicester City boss Martin Allen has made Watford defender James Chambers his seventh signing of the summer.

The 26-year-old former West Brom star made over 100 appearances for the Hornets, including 12 in the Premiership last term.

Allen told the Foxes' official website: "James is a player who we've been after for a little while. Other clubs were involved so it's good that we've been able to get the deal done.

"He's strong-minded, pacy and is good in one on ones. He can play right-back, left-back or in the centre of midfield.

"Having met him a couple of times he's very down to earth. He's a decent sort of person and I like those types of people."

Bruno N'Gotty, Jimmy Nielsen, Carl Cort, Ricky Sappleton, Radostin Kishishev and Sergio Hellings have already moved to the Walkers Stadium this summer.
