Foxes chief hints at winter spending

The Foxes have made an impressive start to life back in the Championship and are only outside the play-off places on goal difference. Hoos warned the club's future would not be put at risk again after the trauma of administration in 2002, but he insists the finances are much stronger now and the board are looking to help Leicester maintain their progress. "We need to run the business sensibly, that is for sure, but we also need to take the club forward," Hoos told the Leicester Mercury. "If we are in sight of the Premier League we have to be able to grasp that opportunity, but that is a question that is probably best answered in January. "What we don't want to do is get the club into massive problems. The trick is to maintain the balance. (Chairman) Milan (Mandaric) is the one who has put his money where his mouth is in terms of this club and where it is going. "The club is getting there financially and Milan has his goals in mind. Hopefully we are getting to that point now where we can press forward."
