Eriksson impressed by Foxes comeback
Published : 11 Dec 2010 19:30:19
Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was effusive in his praise of his side's second-half demolition of Doncaster. The Foxes - who also hit the woodwork three times - had to rely on a controversial penalty award to kickstart the rout but never looked back as Rovers were dispatched 5-1 in an npower Championship clash at the Walkers Stadium.Billy Sharp gave Rovers a sixth-minute lead before referee James Linington intervened with his disputed decision. The ball appeared to be rolling harmlessly out of play when Rovers keeper Neil Sullivan slid in on substitute Lloyd Dyer, which the Isle of Wight official ruled was an illegal lunge.Paul Gallagher slammed home the spot-kick and further goals from Richie Wellens - against his former club - Kyle Naughton, Darius Vassell and Martyn Waghorn left Eriksson purring. He said: "It was an amazing turnaround. We could not control it in the first half, we were chasing the game."In the second half we were brilliant, absolutely fantastic, creating chances on many occasions and playing good football. Everyone was happy. They were all nice goals."
