Leicester City manager Martin Allen has bolstered his strikeforce by snapping up the former Newcastle United and Wolves forward Carl Cort.
The 29-year-old follows Bruno N'Gotty, Jimmy Nielsen and Ricky Sappleton in signing for the Foxes this week.
Allen told the club's official website: "Carl has quality and I'm delighted he's chosen us over four other clubs, including one from the Premiership.
"I believe I'm going to get the best out of him. I'm going to work him hard and push him to maximise his ability. Then the ball's in his court."
Cort, who has had his injury problems in the last few seasons, moves to the Walkers Stadium on a free transfer, having been released by Wolves.
He scored 32 goals in 99 appearances for Wolves having arrived at Molineux from Newcastle United for £2million in January 2004.
The Magpies had signed him from Wimbledon for £7million in July 2000 but Cort scored only eight times in his 32 games for the north-east side.
