Clemence to resume career

Leicester City midfielder Stephen Clemence is close to resuming playing after an 18-month absence through injury. The 31-year-old has returned to full training after two operations on a snapped Achilles he suffered in March 2008. Clemence got his first taste of playing action in a behind closed doors friendly reserve friendly with Derby, which the Foxes won 3-1. The former Tottenham and Birmingham man played for 30 minutes in the match but is unlikely to come into contention for the Foxes when they host Blackpool in the Championship on Saturday.
