Clem slams Kisnorbo red
12 Dec 2007 - 10:40:19
Leicester City midfielder Stephen Clemence was left fuming by the sending-off of Patrick Kisnorbo in the 3-1 defeat at Ipswich Town.
Kisnorbo was shown a straight red card by referee Phil Joslin for a foul on Pablo Counago seven minutes before the interval at Portman Road, with Clemence dismayed by the decision.
He told The Mercury: "I think that the decision was one of the worst I have seen. I was running alongside the referee when the incident went off.
"Patrick got the ball and it was running towards the corner flag. Gareth McAuley was left if the attacker did run past him.
"The referee pointed towards the corner and the linesman put his flag across his chest.
"How the referee then doesn't go across to speak to the linesman before sending him off, I don't know. It was a shocking decision and hurt us badly."
