Blackpool Chasing DJ

Ian Holloway is to make one final attempt to lure DJ Campbell away from the Walkers Stadium. Several reports today suggest that DJ Campbell is close to a move to Bloomfield Road - although Holloway's previous bid for the 28-year-old striker was shunned. Campbell looked set for a move away from Leicester after two loan moves last season, including an impressive spell at Blackpool that helped guide the Premier League new boys to promotion from the Championship under Holloway. Boss Ian Holloway has previously stated that: 'The one I wanted to do more than anything else was DJ. I'm sorry I am not in control of that.'We're not going to pay £2m or £3m for him because he is 28, but I tried my utmost and we almost did it.' Reports on Sky Sports News claim that Campbell will join Blackpool today.
