Yakubu set for Foxes bow
Yakubu could be handed his Leicester debut when Sven-Goran Eriksson's side travel to face Preston at Deepdale.
The 28-year-old striker, who has scored over 100 goals in English football with Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Everton and 21 goals in 57 internationals for Nigeria, has signed on loan until the end of the season with a view of a permanent deal.
Yakubu could go straight into the starting line-up to partner Darius Vassell up front.
Another of Eriksson's transfer window signings, Sol Bamba, is set to continue in defence following his goalscoring debut against Manchester City if the FA Cup last weekend.
Kyle Naughton should also retain his place after extending his loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.
