Fellow forward Steve Howard is manager Sven-Goran Eriksson`s only other injury problem. Howard has missed the last two matches with an ankle knock and he will be monitored.
Martyn Waghorn, who scored an injury-time match-winner against Bristol City on Friday night, would start should Vassell or Howard not make it.
Eriksson is blessed with options should he wish to make changes. Defenders Jeffrey Bruma, Bruno Berner and Miguel Vitor and midfielders Lloyd Dyer and Yuki Abe are also available for recalls. Victory in south Wales could take Leicester into the play-off positions.
