Trio to pen new deals
Sven-Goran Eriksson hopes three key Leicester players will sign new contracts this week.
Andy King, the club`s leading scorer with 14 goals this season, and fellow midfielders Paul Gallagher and Richie Wellens are in talks about extending their deals at the Walkers Stadium.
"I hope Andy, Paul and Richie will sign new deals later this week," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury.
"I think the club should do whatever they can to keep these three players because, in one way or another, they have been key players for us, scoring goals and playing good football.
"Richie is not the best goalscorer but he is a great football player. The other two have scored some good goals.
"They are also good characters to have around. Paul and Richie have been here for two years and Andy has come through the youth, so they know the club well."
