Sousa wants to calm Foxes

Paulo Sousa urged his side to calm down and play with more confidence after celebrating his home debut as Leicester manager with a thrilling 4-3 Carling Cup win over Macclesfield . Nat Brown gave the underdogs a shock lead before Robbie Neilson and a Matty Fryatt brace put the Foxes in control. Vinny Mukendi reduced Macclesfield's arrears but Richie Wellens soon restored Leicester's two-goal advantage when he drove the ball home from 18 yards. However, Macclesfield kept plugging away and Colin Daniel made it 4-3 with eight minutes remaining, although the League Two side could not force an equaliser. Sousa said: "In parts of the game the players did what I expect of them, performing quickly and with dynamism. "But we have to work hard at not conceding goals so easily and the way our defenders can do that is to cool down, relax and learn to play with confidence."
