Sousa: Some Players Want Out

30 August 2010 20:41
Paolo Sousa has revealed that some players at Leicester City have handed in transfer requests, with just one day remaining in the summer transfer window. Speaking after Saturday's disastrous defeat to Reading at the Walkers Stadium - Sousa has admitted that several players have shown an interest in leaving in the club. 'Yes we have some of them (who have asked to go) but not too many.  'It means we have some good players and other clubs are interested in them.' Sousa said. And, the City boss has hinted that he will allow players to leave at the right price. 'Depending on offers and the minds of the players, we will make decisions. The market is always open and then we need to make our decisions.' Sousa added. The Foxes continued their poor start to the Championship campaign on Saturday when they went down 2-1 to Reading at the Walkers Stadium. And yet, despite the result meaning the club have made their worst start to the season in 16 years, the Foxes have played some attractive attacking football. The pressure is clearly mounting on the manager though, and half time jeers from the Foxes faithful, despite only being a single goal down - further emphasises the expectation of the Blue Army this season.   Unfortunately for Sousa though, the Foxes have to wait an agonising two weeks before they can attempt to register their first win in the Championship due to the International break - and Sousa will be hoping he can hold on to his star players until then.
