Roman Bednar Set For Foxes Loan

Sven Goran-Eriksson is close to completing a loan move for West Brom's Roman Bednar. The Foxes were in the hunt for Bednar's team mate at the Hawthorns - Ishmael Miller - however Eriksson turned his attention to Czech striker Bednar when Miller picked up an injury - ruling him out of a move to the Walkers Stadium. Bednar is set to become a useful addition to the Foxes front line and has plenty of experience at this level. The 27-year-old also boasts an impressive goal rate during his three year stint at the Hawthorns - scoring 30 goals in 85 appearances for the West Midlands club. The arrival of Bednar could see Matty Fryatt shipped out on loan to Hull City. The unsettled striker has failed to secure a place in Eriksson's starting 11 and has rarely featured for the Foxes this season. Last years top goal scorer is wanted by former City manager Nigel Pearson - who is said to be keen on the striker's services. Meanwhile, Eriksson is also working on a deal to bring in Wigan 'keeper Chris Kirkland on loan until January, with a view to making the deal permanent.
