Rams remain in DJ discussions

The 28-year-old is set to return to parent club Leicester after the Rams' game against East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday and although County are keen to keep Campbell at Pride Park for the remainder of the season, the Foxes would prefer to see the player move in a permanent deal.[LNB]"I think it will go to the end of the week and probably after the weekend," said Derby manager Nigel Clough. "Leicester's preference is to do a permanent deal, so they're going to give it every chance to see if somebody comes in for him on that basis.[LNB]"We're pursuing a loan to the end of the season, if he wants to stay. We're not interested in a permanent deal at this particular moment and we've made our thoughts clear to him and to Leicester with what we would like to do.[LNB]"If nothing comes in that is better (than our loan offer), then we have a good chance of keeping him. But if it's not him, then we will try and bring in someone if we can."[LNB][LNB]
