Pearson won't rule out loan deals

Pearson is happy with the balance of his squad and has no immediate plans to make any short-term additions before Thursday's loan deadline, despite the recent injuries to midfielders Matt Oakley and Andy King.[LNB]However Pearson knows a spate of injuries or suspensions could force him to dip into the loan market and he admits looking for potential recruits is a continuing process.[LNB]"We are always looking to strengthen the squad, but the criteria for whether you can or you can't is a bit more complex than just saying you like that player and off we go," Pearson told the Leicester Mercury. "At the moment we have competition for places, which is healthy, and I am pleased with the squad and how it is developing. I am pleased with how the players are applying themselves.[LNB]"It is striking the balance between the right number or too many, or being too short, and that can change very quickly with suspensions and injuries.[LNB]"There are no immediate plans, but that is not to say we are not always on the look-out. You always have to have an eye on the next move but I don't go public on that type of information and I don't intend to do that now."[LNB][LNB]
