Pearson praises league standard

The Foxes celebrated winning the title with two games to spare when they beat Southend 2-0 at Roots Hall at the weekend. Pearson insists his side have been pushed all the way by their rivals, who have played a standard of football not usually associated with the third tier. "What I would say about the division is that the standard has been very good, and I think that people might have been pleasantly surprised at the standard of the play at times," said Pearson. "There are a lot of good teams in this league, they all make you work very hard to have any success, and that is a bigger testament to my squad. I never fault the players for their efforts, they always give everything."
