Pearson focused on strong finish

Victory at Southend at the weekend would see the Foxes clinch the league title and promotion back to the Championship. Scunthorpe are the final visitors to the Walkers Stadium on April 24, before Pearson's side finish with a trip to Crewe on the final day of the season. The Leicester boss, pointing out that promotion has still to be achieved, is looking for three wins from his side's remaining matches. "We are close but we are not over the line yet. Many may feel as if we are, but it is my responsibility to keep it going and our aim is to win all three remaining games and give us momentum for next season because you can see how important it can be," said Pearson. "In our division, both Peterborough and MK Dons are going for a second successive promotion on the momentum of the season before and we want to close out our matches as well as we possibly can. We want the nine points remaining."
