Pearson backing Foxes to react

Antony Kay's goal and a late penalty from Steven Jennings - after Chris Powell fouled Bas Savage - saw play-off chasing Rovers earn a vital 2-0 win, and Pearson admitted he was disappointed with the manner of the Foxes' defeat.

"It is always disappointing when a run comes to an end especially as we have worked so hard. We went out with a whimper really," he said.

"We conceded disappointing goals. Sometimes things go for you. Sometimes it is the reverse and certainly matters did not go our way.

"We will now have to take stock and prepare for another important game on Saturday. One or two players have taken knocks.

"Our players are always under pressure to win games as we should not be in this league. We have got to see the season through and make sure we are promoted."
