Nugent Set For Return To Action

05 March 2013 15:16
David Nugent is expected to return in attack for the Foxes when they host Leeds United at the King Power Stadium tonight.

The team's top goal scorer has been missing from action for the past two matches but is expected to feature against Neil Warnock's men in their Championship clash tonight.

Boss Nigel Pearson said: "David trained on Sunday to see if there was any reaction.

"He was okay to train again yesterday and, providing there is no adverse reaction to that session, he may be considered for the game."

The striker's return will be welcomed by the players and fans alike, especially with the pressure firmly on the Foxes to recover from their poor weekend showing - when they fell to a single goal loss at the hands of lowly Ipswich Town.

With the play-off chasers closing in, and with hopes of an automatic promotion spot looking less and less likely with each loss, it is vital City get back to winning ways as soon as possible - starting with the visit of Leeds United this evening.
