Mandaric wants long Pearson reign

After several self-confessed false starts since he took over at the Walkers Stadium in February 2007, Mandaric can relax in the knowledge that Pearson is producing exactly what he wants from a manager - a winning team that sits proudly at the top of the table.[LNB]"Stability is what every club wants and, if you want success, it is the best way. Nigel has had a great impact on the club, turning the players into a winning team," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury. "Although we cannot take promotion for granted, we are very well placed. He has done just what I wanted and I hope he stays for as long as possible."[LNB]When Mandaric talks about managerial stability, it will probably raise eyebrows among the likes of Rob Kelly, Martin Allen and Ian Holloway, all of whom had brief stints at the helm before they were dismissed by the Serbian-born America.[LNB]Pearson is Leicester's longest-serving manager under Mandaric at just shy of nine months, and Mandaric added: "I am not known in my other businesses for change.[LNB]"Once I find someone I can work with, who is successful and who is going in the direction we all want, I will do everything humanly possible to keep them."[LNB][LNB]
