Vardy blow for Foxes

Leicester will be without Jamie Vardy as they look to take a giant step towards promotion to the Premier League with victory against Sheffield Wednesday.

Vardy suffered a groin injury during the victory at Burnley last weekend but the 16-goal striker could be back before the end of the season after it was initially feared he may miss the remainder of the campaign.

Besides Vardy and long-term injury absentee Zoumana Bakayogo (knee), Foxes boss Nigel Pearson has a fully fit squad to choose from on Friday night.

Victory over the Owls alone will not be enough to guarantee promotion, although it could come on Saturday if both QPR and Derby subsequently fail to win.

Sheffield Wednesday winger Michail Antonio could make a surprise return to action.

Antonio has been sidelined since damaging ankle ligaments in the win at Huddersfield in February, but is hoping to be in contention following a full week of training.

Midfielder Sam Hutchinson, on-loan from Chelsea, remains doubtful after missing last week's home defeat to Watford due to a knee injury and will be monitored.

Manager Stuart Gray has no other new injury or suspension problems as Wednesday bid to end a run of three straight league defeats on the road.
