Duo back for Foxes

Paul Konchesky and Jamie Vardy could return to the Leicester squad for the visit of East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest.

Full-back Konchesky and striker Vardy both missed the impressive 3-0 win at Watford last Saturday with hamstring strains but have made good progress in their recoveries this week.

Chris Wood will miss the clash after being called up to the New Zealand squad for their World Cup play-off with Mexico. The Foxes had requested that the striker be able to link up with his country after the Forest game but the All Whites have remained firm on their insistence that Wood would join up with the squad in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Full-back Ritchie De Laet is still out as he continues to recover from shin surgery.

Nottingham Forest will make the short trip without the suspended Djamel Abdoun.

Abdoun was sent off during the first half of the 1-0 home defeat to Blackpool last weekend and the midfielder will serve a one-match ban at the King Power Stadium.

On-loan Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan will hope to keep his place in the team after making his full debut against the Tangerines, but the likes of Nathaniel Chalobah and Andy Reid do provide alternatives for Reds boss Billy Davies.

Central defenders Danny Collins (ankle ligaments) and Kelvin Wilson (back) will both be absent for around three months with the problems that have kept them on the sidelines in recent weeks.
