Double striker boost for Foxes

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson could see his striking options boosted by the return of Chris Wood and Gary Taylor-Fletcher for the clash with Huddersfield.

Wood has recovered from a hamstring problem while summer signing Taylor-Fletcher has also resumed training following a minor injury.

"They are both back in training and we will look at how they progress over the next couple of days," said Pearson. "It will be good to have our attacking options boosted by their return."

Republic of Ireland defender Sean St Ledger is nearing fitness after a knee injury while Kasper Schmeichel (Denmark), Wes Morgan (Jamaica), Andy King (Wales) and Marcin Wasilewski (Poland) have returned unscathed from international duty.

Huddersfield manager Mark Robins could have a full-strength squad to choose from against his former club.

Robins, who spent three seasons as a player with the Foxes, has no new injury or suspension worries and is expecting striker Martin Paterson (Northern Ireland) and on-loan Swansea defender Ashley Richards (Wales) to return from midweek international duty unscathed.

Oliver Norwood, who missed Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifying draw in Israel through suspension, is hoping to resume in midfield, while winger Danny Ward may retain his place after scoring in his first start in the home defeat to Watford before the international break.

Teenage midfielder Duane Holmes is in contention for his first league start for the club.
