Foxes set for recalls

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson can recall a host of players for the visit of Barnsley.

Pearson made eight changes for the Capital One Cup tie with East Midlands rivals Derby in midweek, with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, defender Liam Moore and midfielder Danny Drinkwater the only survivors from the 2-2 league draw at Blackpool.

Wes Morgan, Ritchie De Laet, Andy King, Lloyd Dyer, Anthony Knockaert and David Nugent are among those who could return to the starting line-up against the Tykes.

Sean St Ledger and Chris Wood are progressing well after injury but will not be involved on Saturday. Defender St Ledger played 60 minutes in a development squad fixture this week after recovering from a knee injury, while striker Wood should soon be back in full training after a hamstring problem.

Barnsley will hand debuts to new loan signings Jack Butland and David Fox at Leicester as they bid to halt a run of three straight defeats.

Stoke goalkeeper Butland has been drafted in due to Luke Steele's back injury and following Mike Pollitt's return to parent club Wigan.

Midfielder Fox has arrived from Norwich on a three-month deal and will also be added to the squad.

But Barnsley will still be without summer signing Marcus Pedersen (foot), who has missed the last three matches.
