Leicester may now have to think about competing with Europe's elite as they prepare for their Champions League debut but goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel insists that will not change their approach.
The Foxes found a formula which worked for them, mainly based around catching teams out with their quick counter-attacks, and it was very effective in bringing the club its unexpected first Premier League title.
But just because they are now facing Brugge, Porto and Copenhagen does not mean Claudio Ranieri's side will deviate from the secrets of their success.
"We've done some homework on Brugge and we have an idea what they are about but we won't change too much - the success we've had, in the years I've been here, has been through us being us and playing the way we do," said Schmeichel.
"Maybe it's not for me to say but I think we've got to focus on the methods and the way we've got our success and we've come a long way and sometimes you have to take a step back and reflect.
"In my time Leicester have come from finishing ninth in the Championship only four years ago so to be stood here as Premier League champions and looking forward to playing in the Champions League, we've done all right."
Leicester have had a difficult start to the defence of their title with two defeats already, having lost just three in the whole of last season, and balancing the demands of European and domestic football will be a challenge.
Midfielder Danny Drinkwater said they were determined not to be a flash in the pan and wanted to prove they could sustain the level which secured them silverware back in May.
And he hopes to be inspired by Champions League football.
"When we are standing in the tunnel it's going to be strange listening to the Champions League music but I'm buzzing for it," he said.
"These are the games every football fan watches and we are not just going to make up the numbers.
"It's the club's first time in the Champions League, and we don't want it to be the last, so we're going to show them what we are made of.
"It's a big opportunity for us as individuals and as a team.
"I don't think we need to change our approach in Europe - it's up to other teams to try to cancel out what we do."
