Leicester City players' cars - It's not all Porsche's and Bentley's in the King Power car park

When it comes to coverage on Premier League football players and what they drive day-to-day, a lot of focus tends to be given to the same half a dozen clubs that regularly contend near the top of the league.

That usually means little coverage for clubs like Leicester City and its players’ fleet of cars. Recently however, Leicester have been wowing football followers across the nation with an unexpected and impressive title bid.

Here we take a look at the cars driven by Leicester’s title-chasing players.

Jamie Vardy – Bentley Continental

English striker Jamie Vardy has been in incredible form in recent months for Leicester City, which has since led to a contract extension at the East Midlands club.

To help celebrate his new deal, Vardy has got himself a Bentley Continental, painted in a dark blue finish similar to the colour of Leicester City’s home kit. As a sign of how much his career has progressed, a new Bentley is likely the sort of car Vardy could only dream of owning back when he was playing for teams below the top few leagues in England.

Daniel Simpson – Lamborghini Huracan

Leicester City’s right back Simpson has played for numerous Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers but has become one of several unexpected title challengers at his current club.

Simpson’s time moving around different Premier League clubs has allowed him to save up enough to afford a Lamborghini Huracan supercar. However, Daniel doesn’t exactly stand out in Leicester’s squad with his Huracan. Two other players, Nathan Dyer and Jeff Schlupp, are reported to also drive around in the same type of Lambo.

Gökhan Inler – Lamborghini Gallardo

Another Leicester City player that drives around in a Lamborghini supercar is the Swiss defensive midfielder Inler. However, while others in the squad choose the Huracan, Inler reportedly gets around in the Huracan’s predecessor, the Lamborghini Gallardo.

Kasper Schmeichel – Range Rover

Leicester City’s first-choice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel reportedly owns a Range Rover - a car seemingly at least one player in every Premier League squad must own.

Schmeichel is also said to own a Mercedes SLS supercar and a Mercedes Vito van with a bed in the back. The latter allows Kasper to catch up on sleep while someone else drives.

Leonardo Ulloa – Porsche Cayenne

Leicester City Argentinian striker Ulloa reportedly commutes in a Porsche Cayenne. The current starting price for the premium SUV is nearly £53,000, but higher trim levels can push price anyway between about £75,000 and £120,000.

N’golo Kante – MINI Hatch

The hard-working French midfielder N’golo Kante has become a key player in Leicester’s squad since arriving in the summer of 2015. Recent success is not preventing Kante from staying grounded, at least if you go by his motor.

Kante reportedly didn’t even have a car when he first turned up at Leicester City, so someone gave him a used MINI hatchback to help him get from A to B.

Claudio Ranieri – Mercedes GLC-Class

Leicester City’s odds-defying manager Ranieri travels around in a Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, a compact luxury SUV which succeeds the GLK-Class and only launched in the UK earlier this year.

Whether he chooses to upgrade to something even more luxurious in the future is one thing, but what are the chances he’ll get an improved contract that will allow him to in the near future? We say very likely.
