Leicester City Need A Record-Breaking Miracle To Make The Play-Offs - Keep The Faith!

Should the Foxes squeeze into the play-offs with a win away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, they will enter the record books, achieving the lowest points tally to ever earn a Second-Tier play-off spot.

Incredibly, no Second Division team has ever finished in the top six of a 46-game season with as little as 68 points – the total Leicester will be aiming for with a final day win against their East Midlands, and play-off-chasing, rivals.

Yet even with a win, a play-off place is far from guaranteed, with Nigel Pearson’s men relying heavily on mid-table Blackpool holding sixth-placed Bolton Wanderers to a draw.

Having witnessed a seemingly catastrophic run of results since their purple patch in January, even the most optimistic Leicester fan would have been forgiven for thinking their promotion hopes were all but finished.

But, such has been the equally poor form of many of the teams around the top six, the Foxes will have everything to play for in front of a packed City Ground come Saturday lunch time.

Now really is the time to Keep The Faith and strap yourselves in - this promises to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride for all involved. With a bit of luck, it might just take us all the way to Wembley!
