Sven Goran-Eriksson insists that Jack Hobbs remains in his long term plans, but he is in need of first team football and that cannot be guaranteed at the Walkers Stadium, following his loan move to Hull City. Eriksson has continued to transform the Foxes into a top footballing side with several additions already proving vital to the team’s play-off surge. Hobbs is just one of several first team players that have fallen victim to Eriksson's makeover, with Ben Mee and Sol Bamba forming an immediate partnership following their moves to the Walkers Stadium. And, the loan signing of teenage defender Jeffrey Bruma from Chelsea looks to have sent Hobbs further down the pecking order. A temporary move to Nigel Pearson's Hull City will be help Hobbs to grow stronger and return to the Walkers Stadium at the end of the season ready to challenge for a place in Eriksson's starting eleven, according to the Swede. 'I think this will make him stronger. It will be good for Jack. He is young, he is our player and he needs to play football. Eriksson said. 'Of course he has been unlucky but, if you play at Centre Half, you can't afford many mistakes. The only way to learn is to go and play.' The City boss believes that the move to Hull will provide Hobbs with the opportunities he needs: 'He is strong and his technique is not bad at all. It is good for us and him. I hope he will get plenty of games at Hull, more games than he would have had here.' Eriksson added.
