Leicester boss Nigel Pearson expects to be without Matty Fryatt for around eight weeks after the striker underwent surgery on a fractured jaw. Fryatt, who has scored 12 goals this season, suffered the injury during the first half of the goalless draw against Doncaster on Tuesday night in a challenge with Rovers captain Brian Stock. Pearson told the club`s official website: "He`s had surgery already on one of the fractures. "He`s seen the surgeon again today (Thursday) to see if there needs to be any further surgery but as far as I know at this moment in time everything has gone to plan. "We are looking at about eight weeks. It`s a loss because he`s our leading scorer. "It`s a shame for him and the team but the most important thing is that he`s okay. It just means that someone else will get an opportunity in the team."
