Foxes snare Benfica ace
Paulo Sousa has made his first signing as Leicester manager by securing the services of defender Miguel Vitor from Benfica on a season-long loan deal.
Sousa, who was named as Nigel Pearson's successor at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday, has moved quickly to bring the Portugal Under-21 international to England, fighting off the services of several other clubs and he is delighted to have landed his highly-rated countryman.
"Miguel is a young player that has a good background and already has plenty of experience," he told the club's official website, www.lcfc.com.
"He has good communication and leadership skills and reads the game well. He is a powerful defender and will help improve the squad."
Vitor, 21, added: "This is a big opportunity for me. The club have a Portuguese coach which is a big help because he knows me and he knows my qualities.
"I hope to play well and help Leicester into the Premier League."
