Foxes scout eyes Gilbert swoop
The young full-back has been on a season-long loan at the Walkers Stadium from the Gunners.
The Foxes have already moved to sign fellow loan defenders Jack Hobbs and Wayne Brown on permanent deals from Premier League clubs before the final game of the season at Crewe on Saturday.
Walsh hopes that Gilbert will follow suit, and told the Leicester Mercury: "We would be more than delighted if he joined us and hopefully we can do something in the summer."
