Foxes' Play-Off Hopes Hanging By Thread

Despite conceding an agonisingly late equaliser at the King Power Stadium against Birmingham City on Friday night, incredibly the Foxes play-off fate remains in their own hands.

Of their final five fixtures, Friday’s visit of Birmingham City represented the Foxes' most likely source of three points.

However, Nigel Pearson's men have well and truly lost their winning ways, and their nerves got the better of them yet again when, with just two minutes of stoppage time left on the clock, David Nugent gifted the visitors a penalty which Chris Burke converted.

The Foxes' late collapse means they have won just one of their last 13 fixtures, a drop in form that leaves the team languishing in 8th place in the table; their lowest position since August.

And yet, incredibly, the Foxes can still qualify for the lottery that is the Championship play-offs.

The mammoth task will take an equally huge effort however, with Nigel Pearson's men needing to win all four of their remaining fixtures -starting with tomorrow's trip to Bolton Wanderers; a team that have shot up the table and into the play-off places following a late surge.

If Leicester can find the form to win their final four matches, it will be one of the biggest turnarounds in the club's recent history.
