The former Stade Reims striker has been on trial at the club for several weeks and he did his chances of a permanent deal no harm with a goal against Sheffield United's second string. Nigel Pearson's need to strengthen in attack has been increased by the hamstring injuries to Steve Howard and Martyn Waghorn this week and may now offer the 27-year-old a deal. "We are currently discussing one or two options in regard to him and we will see where that takes us," Pearson told the club's official website. "We are always working at additions to the squad so we will see what happens." Nicky Adams, however, believes the Foxes' squad is strong enough to cope with the loss of Howard and Waghorn. He told the Leicester Mercury: "They are two big players for us and it is unfortunate. "We are hoping to get them back as quickly as possible but we have a good squad here and we will just get on with it."
